My favorite character in Hamlet is Laertes. I like the fact that he is always caring for his sister and father and when he used the last of his energy to tell Hamlet what happened during the sword fight before he died.
ReplyDeleteI would ask:
What did you do at France?
How did you sneak in to Elsinore?
How did you feel about the mad Ophelia and the dead Polonius?
If you and Hamlet met again, would you consider him an ally or foe?
I like many of the characters and one of them is Horatio. Horatio is Hamlet's best friend and is loyal to him. Horatio helps Hamlet make decisions and never neglects him. In the end, Horatio is even willing to die with Hamlet.
ReplyDeleteQuestions for Horatio:
-Why were you and Hamlet so close?
-Do you agree with Hamlet's decissions, to avenge his father's death?
-Did you ever consider that Claudius murdered Hamlet's father?
My favorite charecter would probably be Haratio. He was very loyal to Hamlet. A few questions I would ask him are: Why did you want to die? How did you and Hamlet become friends? How do you feel about being Hamlet's sidekick?

My favorite character in"Hamlet" is surprisingly King Claudius. He is a very clever and deceitful man. He was able to not have been accused of murdering the present king. Also he was able to "control" the queen without showing any sign that he was a murderer. Although he may be the antagonist if this story he could still have been a nice man. (which won't really happen but you never know)
ReplyDeleteA couple of questions I would ask would be:
What were you like before you killed the king?
Have you ever had any history of theft or murdering someone?
What was your reaction when you found out that you killed the king by Hamlet?
Have you ever "liked" Hamlet?
Where you ever afraid the Queen might have found out of your murdering...?
Did you and your brother ever have a serious problem, which led to you killing him?
Like Angel, my favorite character in "Hamlet" is Laertes. I like the fact that he wants to avenge the death of Polonius by killing Hamlet, but realizes Hamlet has grief for his father's murder and ends up telling Hamlet the plot to murder him. if I could meet Laertes, I would ask him these Questions:
ReplyDeleteWhy did you pick poison for the murder weapon?
Why did you feel guilty about killing Hamlet?
What was the purpose of the trip to France?
And finally,
Why did Ophelia reject Hamlet?
My favorite character in Hamlet is OF COURSE the Evil Murderer, King Claudius! I just think that the play wouldn't be at all real without him and I think we all agree that without a villian there can't be a hero so there would be no point to the play... if i could ask him a few questions they would probably be a little bit like this...
ReplyDelete-Did you always feel jealous of you brother?
-Why didn't you talk to your brother about the feelings you had?
-why did you trust Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, you said it yourself that they were friends that had grown up together?
-Was there ever a point in time when you actually liked Hamlet or did you always feel dislike towards him?
...those are the questions i would ask King Claudius...

To me, I like Ophelia the best. I feel very sorry for all that she had to put up with through out the play. She was told she wasn't loved by Hamlet, her father was killed by the man she once loved, she went mad, and drowns in the river. Her life is pretty rough. The positive things about her is how she respects her brother and her father. She doesn't ever hurt anyone in the play and I feel that makes a pretty good person.
ReplyDeleteQuestions I would ask Ophelia:
1- How did you feel when Hamlet told you he didn't love you?
2- Were you mad at Hamlet for taking your father's life, or were you just so upset, you didn't care who did it... just that your father was dead and you wouldn't be able to take it back?
3- Did you want to stay away from Lord Hamlet, or were you doing it to obey your father?

I have to say, a few girls seem to enjoy it when the evil King Claudius appers in the plot of "Hamlet", and I am one of them. This decitful, cunning King is a man of many talents. By manedging to slip susspision in murder and gain the trust of the Queen he proved his acting skills. He is also creative since the way he murdered his brother was indeed unatural. But he misused these talents horribly, and they led to the deaths of many people including himself.
ReplyDeleteSome questions I would ask are:
-What was your motive for killing your brother?
-Why did you try to get other people to do your dirty work for you?
-How would you describe your actions?
-If your plan had succeeded in the end, what do you think would have happended to the Queen and Laertes?
-Did anything in your childhood contribute to the way you felt about your brother?
My favorite character in “Hamlet” is Horatio. Although he is not the main character, I really admire some of his character traits. For example, he was loyal to Hamlet, even when Hamlet was sometimes a little crazy. He was always there for Hamlet when Hamlet needed him. In addition, when Horatio found out that Hamlet was going to die, he offered to die with him. That really says a lot about Horatio’s character and I admire him being selfless and considerate of a friend. If I were to ask Horatio a question or two, I know what I would inquire. I would ask him how he felt after his best friend, his king, and his queen among others died at the same time right before his eyes. That must have been hard! Also I would ask about Hamlet’s dying wish. Hamlet wanted Horatio to not sacrifice his life, but to live on and tell the story. Did Horatio really do that? If it’s hard to watch all these close comrades die, it must be double as hard to tell the story over and over and recall all that horrid memory. Besides, there are not many people to tell since it seems like half the court is dead! Okay, that’s an exaggeration, but how would most people react to such a terrible tale? I’m just glad I’m not Horatio, though if he had the courage to willingly die with a friend, I don’t doubt he followed through on his friend’s dying wish. This would make for another reason I like Horatio!
ReplyDeleteMy favorate character in Hamlet is Horatio. Horatio is my favorate character in Hamlet because of his loyalty to Hamlet. If I could meet Horatio these are some questions I would ask him:
ReplyDelete- Did you thunk about poisoning yourself when Hamlet was dead?
-When you heard the ghost talk, did you believe him? Why or why not?
Horatio is my favorite character in "Hamlet" he is just so nice and loyal. Horatio sticks with Hamlet and understands him more than anyone else. He helps Hamlet to figure out if King Claudius really did kill Hamlet's father and knows how to be a good friend. Without Horatio Hamlet would be on his own and no one would be able to tell the story of "Hamlet".
ReplyDeleteQuestions to ask Horatio:
1) How did you and Hamlet meet and become good friends?
2) Did you feel bad when everyone died but you?
3) Did you like your position at the time of King Claudius?
4) If you could do it all over would you change anything?
5) If you were Hamlet would you have tried to avenge your fathers murder; do you agreee with Hamlet's choices?
My favorite character is Ophelia. Like morgan I feel sorry for her because she had her father killed, Hamlet saying he doesnt love her, and drowning. It seems like her life was no walk in the park. The way she is always so respectful and doesnt want to hurt others makes her a really nice person.
ReplyDeleteSome questions I would ask her are:
~Do you love Hamlet?
~How did you react when you heard your father was killed by Hamlet? Angry, sad, depressed?
~How did you feel when Hamlet told you he didnt love you? Angry, rejected, sad?
~
Just like Alexis and others, my favorite character in Hamlet is Horatio. I like him because he never gave up on Hamlet and he is smart just like mostly all of us. Here are the questions i'd ask him:
ReplyDeleteIf you could, would you have died instead of Hamlet?
If you had the chance, would you have killed Claudius and if you did, would you tell Hamlet?
Finnaly, what would you have changed during the fight but you could only save one person but Hamlet.
My favorite character in Hamlet is......well, hamlet himself. To be or not to be, that is the question, whether tis nobler in the mind, or to suffer from a sling of arrows..."his speeches are awesome, and like Horatio he is a "scholar"
ReplyDelete-What are your reasons for "madness"?
-What did you like about Ophelia?
-if Claudius tried to destroy the kingdom, what would you do?
-how did you feel about Ophelia drowning?
-finally and most importantly, what is your favorite colour?????????
I have two favorite characters and i can't decide which one I like more. For me its between Queen Gertrude and Ophelia. I like the Queen because she seems so innocent. I feel bad for both characters. I mean they have really been through a lot! Poor Gertrude...... She had no idea what happened to her real husband. Even when Hamlet was mad she still love him. She was just a kind person. She didn't want fighting; she was peaceful. If I could meet her then I would ask her:
ReplyDelete-Why did you marry Claudus Was it because you were so sad you felt that you needed someone? Or did you know of his murder?
-How devastated were you when Old King Hamlet died? Or were you devastated at all?
-When Hamlet spoke daggers to you did you take into consideration how badly he felt or were you just thhinking about what you had done to deserve hi wicked tongue?
-Were you in on Old King Hamlets death or were you naive to all of the underhanded plots throughout the story?
-Did you truly love Claudius and why ove your firt husband?
Now for Ophelia. I love her character. She is just so sweet. She always obeys her father and brother without putting up a fight. I find that trait in her admirable. She was generally a good person and most have felt horribly when Hamlet was rejecting her. SHE was supposed to reject HIM. I guess that really backfired. I wonder how she felt when her love killed both her father and brother. A few questions i might have asked her:
-Did you truly love Hmlet?
-When you died by falling into the brook was it on purpose or were you so dpressed you didn't even realize what was happening at first?
-Why were you so obedient? Didn't you just want to follow your heart?
-Did you do what people asked because you respected them or was it for another reason? If so why?
-Why wasn't your mother included in the play?
-HOw did you feel when Hamlet was speaking to you?
-#18
My favorite character is Horatio. One reason is he was always loyal to Hamlet and even willing to die with him. If i were Hamlet i would have liked to have a friend like Horatio.
ReplyDeletei would like to ask Horatio the following questions:
- Did you ever suspect Claudius as a murder?
- How did you and Hamlet come to being such good friends?
- If Hamlet would have taked your offer and asked you to die with him, would you have really?
- Do those memories bother you or does it seem kind of natural to you?
- If you knew Claudius was a murder, would you have killed him if Hamlet asked you to?
My favorite character in "Hamlet" would have to be Horatio. He is very loyal with Hamlet and did what Hamlet told him to do. He was also smart, so he didn't get part of any arguments or fights. Because of all of this, he was the only survivor at the end of the play.
ReplyDeleteIf I ever met Horatio, I would ask him:
-How did it feel to be the only survior?
-Why did you want to kill yourself when Hamlet was dying?
-When did you and Hamlet first meet?
And...
-How did you become best friends?
My favorite character is Claudius. I like Claudius for his ambition and how he knows he did the wrong thing. He is dark and mysterious
ReplyDeleteSome questions I would ask him are :
- what gave you the idea of poison in the ear?
- did you expect to get caught?
- did you expect Hamlet to win the fencing match?
- how did you win the heart of the queen?
- did you feel bad about killing your brother?
I liked many characters in "Hamlet", but one I liked in particular was Hamlet himself. I thought that Hamlet was very smart to act mad, and to put on the play to see if what the ghost said was true. Although Hamlet was smart, I did not think the being mean to Ophelia was a good choice. It was helpful when he was acting like he was mad, but I think he went a little overboard. Hamlet, in my opinion, still loved her, so that was a dumb decision. Getting back to the point of putting on the play, Hamlet was very cunning and tricky. He proved that King Cladius killed his father. To me that was a BRILLIANT plan(one of many). Hamlet really caught my attention because he always had the right thing to say to someone. For example, when he was arguing with the Queen, he had very wity comebacks like "...you have MY father much offended..." Hamlet is just very bright and I would have liked to have met him and asked him these questions:
ReplyDelete-Did you get your smarts from your father?
-What was it like to have your father around?
-Did you truly love Ophelia all along?
-Did you sincerely regret killing Polonius?
-Where did you put Polonius after you killed him?
-Were you confident that you would win the fencing match?
-What made you want to be so rude to your mother?
-How did you come up with the plan to prove what the ghost had said was true?
-What is your friendship like with Rozencrantz, Guildenstern, and Horatio?
My favorite is Ophelia. She is very strong having to go through Hamlet's "lunacy", and has a big heart. She even has feelings for Hamlet when he goes crazy! She must dearly love her father, when he died she was so upset then went into her own lunacy.
ReplyDeleteIf I had questions for Ophelia they would be:
-How did you feel when Hamlet reject you?
-Did you purposly commit suicide, or did you just fall?
-How did you feel during this whole time? Scared? Nervous???
-Did you truly love Hamlet?
-How did you solve your problems during this time? Think of a plan? Follow everybody? Or follow your heart?
My favorite character is Hamlet because of his perseverence to revenge his father. I liked how he acts aloof and how he was able to prve how his father died. I would like to ask him:
ReplyDelete1. Why did you be mean to Ophelia?
2. WHat was ypur life like with Rosencrantz Guildenstern and Horatio?
3. did you have any fellings at all about Polonius`s death?
4.Was the love thing real or just somthing to explain your madness?
5. Did you suspect Claudius was the Murderer in the beginning?
My favorite character is Horatio, even though he isn't the main character. First of all, he is succesful because he didn't like everyone else. He also is loyal to Hamlet. He is hamlet's best-friend and he was willing to die with him to show him loyalty.
ReplyDeleteThe first question I would ask Horatio is why were you as willing as you were to die with hamlet.
THANK YOU!!!!

ReplyDeleteMY favorite character in Hamlet was King Claudius. Though I feel the upmost in hatred for him, he just is the most interesting character. He is the most complex character there is in this story, mainly because of how he feels sorrow, yet he does not repent in fear of losing his ambitious ways, though he does feel sorrow. And even though he BEGGED god for his forgiveness, he still continues and tries to kill Hamlet. He literally says "O God forgive me my foul murder", yet still commits the deed once more. Huh?
ReplyDeleteA question I would ask him first of all is "Would you act differently now that you know what happens to you"
"What were you THINKING!?"
"What motives did you have to kill your brother, other than the queen and the crown"
"What motives did you have to kill your brothers son?"
"What were you THINKING!?"
"How did you know, or make it so, that the queen would fall in love with you less than a month after you brother died"
My favorite character is Ophilia because she is so innocent and sweet. She sounds like a very nice a good person. And I like that she loves Hamlet is so passionate.
ReplyDeleteThe questions I would ask them would be:
Do you like Castle Elsinore?
What do you do in England?
and I would ask
If you could do it all over again how would you do it the second time?
My favorite character is hamlet, because he has a lot of good lines. Hamlet is mean to a lot of people, and I imagine it would be really good acting in a real play. I'm really excited because I'm Hamlet in the readers theater.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Hamlet very much. The characters were all interesting, but my favorite character was Horatio. Horatio was hamlets best friend he supported him and was loyal. He wa smart and and helped hamlet make hard decisions.
ReplyDeleteThe questions I would ask Horatio:
How did you feel about the foil fight between Hamlet and laertes ?
What will you tell people of Hamlet?
How did you and Hamlet meet?
Haratio is my favorite character for many reasons. He is very loyal to Hamlet throughout the play. He doesn't betray Hamlet's plan but adheres to it. A few questions i would ask him would be: Why did you want to die with Hamlet? How did you and Hamlet meet? How long have you and Hamlet known eachother?
ReplyDeleteHamlet was a great, but tragic story. My favorite character is Horatio, Hamlet's best friend. He is supportive of Hamlet and sticks up for him. He trys to convince Hamlet that he shouldn't sword fight Laertes because he knew that he would die. Horatio was a great friend to Hamlet.
ReplyDeleteQuestions I would ask Horatio:
1.Horatio, how did you and Hamlet meet?
2.If you had never met Hamlet, how do you think your life would have been different.
3.Why did you want to be so nice to Hamlet? Was he nice or did something nice for you before?
My favorite person in Hamlet is Horatio. He is a true friend who would die to stay with Hamlet. Anyone would be luky to have Horatio as a friend. My Q for A would be "Why did you agree not to die with Hamlet even though you really wanted to?"
ReplyDeleteI would like to add on to what I previously said....
ReplyDeleteOphilia is my favorite character because she is a good and innocent person. I felt bad for her when Hamlet "dumped" her when she loved him. I also thought that it was interesting how Ophilia became crazy. I liked her also because she didn't really cause anyone to die. Another reason why she is my favorite character is because when she died people actually cared and were effected unlike when other people died. All in all she is just my favorite character!
my favorite character in hamlet let is queen she was so brave through all this chaos.although she married claudius she was a good person and was one of the only ones who didnt murder someone the wholetime.
ReplyDeleteQ #1 why did you marry claudius?
Q #2 what did the poisen taste like?
