Hi Ms.Ullner. I did the Keeping Score mtt on music, and I thought that the four movements: fate, childhood, play, and russia were REALLY AWESOME!!! I noticed that all of Tchaikovsky's music was either strong or weepy. -M#29
HI! I LOOKED THROUGH TCHAIKOVSKY. I WENT TO ALL OF THEM AND LOOKED AT HALF OF THE FOUR MOVEMENTS. NOW I KNOW WHERE TO HEAR EMOTIONAL MUSIK!-Angel 25 :D
Hi Ms. Ullner i looked through all of the Tchaikovsky page. The music was really emotional. Also the video of TREPAK (russian dance) was completely different from what i pictured in my head.
Hi Ms. U!!! I checked out out the page and I went to this section that showed the emotions of some is peices. It showed sad, angry, happy, and wonder pieces. It was really interesting.
Hi Mrs. Ullner:) I loved the piece you put here on blogger the music was very exciting. The Tchaikovsky site was cool too i loved the Nutcracker it is probably my favorite piece of music Tchaikovsky created. -Alexis Hand#14
hi ms.ullner i looked at the romeo and juliet overure and symphony no.4 2nd movement. the music in the romeo and juliet overture is mostly sad =( and kind of hushed(shhhh). Symphony no. 4 2nd movement was really strong and emotional. i see how tchaikovsky's music was really either sad=( or strong and powerful.
Ms. U I watched Suger Plum Fairy and it brought back so many memories. A few years ago I went to see The Nutcracker ballet. I remember that song and the smooth movments that went with it. The volume of the song went from pianonissimo to mezzo forte. But the Russian dance is not smooth. All the song seems like is a bing there a bang there. But those moments between the bing and bang will blow your mind.
Hi Ms. Ullner, I'm very happy to be going on the field trip tomorrow and know I will have lots of fun! I looked through the Thaikovsky site and saw a lot of great things. I liked seeing the people playing the Overture really getting into it. I also enjoyed seeing the pianist play Piano Concerto No. 1. It makes me think that with a lot of practice, that could be me or fellow classmates someday. Thanks for sharing the site!-AD#7
When I was in the Tchaikovsky website and I looked at the Nutcracker. It reminded me of when I was in the Nutcracker! In fact, I looked up the song I danced to and a picture. Daniella was actually in the same one I was! Wow! When I listened to the song I was dancing to (I was a bon bon and was in front of an actual audience!), and it is very upbeat and happy! If you want to listen to the song, here it is
It truly is amazing how much feeling they put into their music, so much that sometimes you can "figure out" what their mood is while they are conducting. It really makes me want to see the concert so much more.
Hi Mrs. Ullner, I looked at the page and watched the little video above. When I was watching one of the videos, it made me realize hao sad his music is. Also I saw that his misic was happy and a whole bunch of different emotions. The page made me want to see the concert even more!!!
Hi Ms. U I forgot to post a comment about the Tchaikovsky website but I did check the website out. Just like maddie I enjoyed listening to the Nutcracker music!!! plus the concert made me love it even more!!!
Hi ms U, I really like the page, sorry i didnt blog earlier about it. my favorite song by Tchaikovsky is the nutcracker Suite: dance of the sugar plum fairy. I remember playing it in band last year! It was really hard to play but it wasn't that bad after a while. I think that it was really interesting how he thought that his head would fall off! I wonder what that's called..... any way yeah i really like the Nutcracker Suite... here is a link that you can hear it....
HI Ms. U I'm finally commenting on this because the video at school wouldn't come up. Anyway.. I really enjoyed watching the video. I thought that the actors were all very talented. I wish I could dance like that and stay on my toes like the ballerinas. Tchaikovsky was really talented! I wish he was alive today!!!!
